Ingame unit stats.
Lancers weight = 250
Tank Killer weight = 300
Twin Assault Cannon weight = 5000
Hyper Velocity Cannon weight = 4000
Heavy Cannon weight = 10,000
Assault Gun = 600
You know its interesting to see that the weight of the turret doesn't affect the unit speed. Design all the above turrets on the python hovers and send them racing to the bottom of the map and they will all travel at the same speed on the concrete tiles regardless of the turrets weight. Why is this ? If the weight of the turret isn't taken into consideration, then whats the point of a weight system. Lancer turrets weight 250 and the heavy cannon weight 10,000 yet on the python hovers they both travel at the same speed on the concrete tiles.
Turret weight doesn't affect unit speed. Now why ?

Re: Turret weight doesn't affect unit speed. Now why ?
This is because large bodies, such as the Python, typically have large engines that can handle the extra weight. Also, hover propulsion is the 2nd lightest propulsion in the game (behind VTOLs), so it usually doesn't contribute enough weight for it to matter for vehicles. If you want a better demonstration on how a vehicle's weight's supposed to slow down vehicles, then try mounting different turrets on a vehicle with a smaller engine, like, say, a Viper body, with different kinds of propulsion, like tracks and wheels.
