Assigning defence priorities
Could an addition be made allowing a command menu-like a unit's-appear for defences? Like being able to assign attack priorties for heavy units, medium units, light units, and cyborgs?

I think that unless massive AI rework is done, the timer has to stay. For example, Alpha 7. The Timer makes the mission difficult. If there is no timer the mission becomes almost as easy as the first mission. The New Paradigm is not capable of defeating you, so there is no challenge.

Those are perfectly legitimate reasons, I'm not rying to complain about it, but there is no way that I could do it right now.

In Age of Empires 2 you can assign more workers to a building before it has begun construction. I don't know why it would be so hard, and I likely would not understand the explination of why. And I am 100% sure that I could not program it, the most programming I know is two months of a beginning C++...

Assigning trucks to buildings
An item that I have long found annoying in the game is that after starting a truck on a building, you cannot assign another truck onto the building until construction has started. With the new holograms of the structure to be built, I don't see any reason to not allow different trucks to start build...

I like it. The black and yellow striping has to be toned down, I think the coloration otherwise is fine. Looking bad with small weapons would be nothing new, dragon and wyvern don't look very nice with small turrets, and I like the weapon platforms.

I'm no artist, but refining the buildings textures and detail work (e.g. rounding out the power generator) should be enough to make them match the terrain modification.

No matter what is cheaper or better, it could be a problem. Ovbiously someone attaches their vtols to a strike tower, Whether it is a good idea is beside the point. Vtols should return to base after the last enemy is destroyed anyway.
