Uber powerful I'd say!
i was thinking, if that could be added to the game, why not removing single cannon fortress? It would look somewhat useless, to me at least

Do people use the fortress structures?
They come so late in the game, I wonder if their immobility, size and high cost makes them near useless.
Edit: Yeah. Upgrading the single cannon to twin could be a good idea.

Not often. Those Fortresses are too easy to destroy. They should be as hard as Bunkers, not as Towers. I know, they are made of Hardcrete, but this isn't in the Sense of a "Fortress" IMO.Per wrote:Do people use the fortress structures?

Re: twin fortress cannon (in this case gauss cannon)
Once you change targeting to make it possible to shoot outside internal sensor range, you'll find that fortresses are really powerful. Alternatively, you could use my rebalance, which ups fortress sensors and adds a sensor upgrade. Anything that allows a fortress to fire its full range will make it extremely powerful. Especially Missile Fortress. After changing how direct-fire targeting works, I've been afraid fortresses are a bit too powerful now, especially Missile Fortress, with its 31-tile range.Per wrote:Do people use the fortress structures?

Well, if they were bunkers, you'd only need a few flamers to take them out. Keep in mind that flamers do 300% damage to bunkers and 5% damage to Hardcrete. And Bunker Busters would do even more damage to them.Zi-Chan wrote:Not often. Those Fortresses are too easy to destroy. They should be as hard as Bunkers, not as Towers.
