Step 3: Move the mouse to where you want to measure to.
Step 4 (optional): Click again to make the rectangle stay where it is.
Next to the mouse pointer two numbers will appear telling you how many tiles wide and high the box is.

Ah ok. I didn't think of that. In that case, the problem might be that no font has been chosen. In 1.19, before that text will show up, you need to go to the menu Options->Display->Font.

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
Ok another one, and this time I am almost sure there is no such device.. or shall I say button, function ??
I know it is possible to copy entire bases, I just select copy objects and it copies everything, but when i copy base 0 and place it somewhere it is placed like base 0 again.. is the only method to change it is by changing its properties by change properties button ?? it is very laborious to do so with every object..
If I again do not know about something then I am again sorry..

When in the misc, resize, object properties or place objects (without choosing an object to place) tabs, you can click and drag the mouse to select multiple objects. Alternatively, you can use select units button to select all objects within your currently selected area using the selection tool.

Then, in the objects properties tab, choose a player for the objects and it will change all of the selected objects to that player.

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
Hey I have a question about FlaME.
(first of all this editor is awesome and I thank you for it, but that's not the question, that's not even a question at all)
Is there a way to change the render distance? I'd like to occasionally see more of my map when I zoom out really far.
Sorry if this question's been asked, but for the life of me I don't have the patience right now to scan through 15 pages.

Hold down Ctrl and press one of the numbers (not on the keypad).
Incase you missed them, the controls are on the third post of the first page.

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
There's a bug in the Windows installer version that stops FlaME from starting if you have an old settings file in My Documents\.flaME from 1.19 or earlier.

Re: FlaME -- The Warzone 2100 Map Editor
A couple of feature requests.
1. I'd still like to have an ability to manually adjust triangles. This could have been especially helpful on mountain maps like this, because choosing triangles for icecaps is non-trivial.
2. Is it possible to classify "no command center for player ..." and "no trucks for player ..." messages as non-blocking warnings instead of errors? I'd like to make some empty positions for spectator support, but I'm not actually sure about what devs would say about it, so this is probably on hold.
