stuff that makes no sense... just what i have observed in the last nightly master current build. dated july 20 2011. :)
these are not bugs ( at least i hope not... :lol2: ).

1) in having tweaked the trucks code - where in the code is it that trucks can not be beside one another without them pushing and shoving ( more noticeable with hovers). with cyborg builders - it seems they need a whole hectare of ground just for the one, now put 5 in and you have such a pushing and shoving match it looks almost comical ( right out of the three stooges).

2) trucks will also , if surrounded by emplacements think they are trapped, when in fact they are not. one has to micromanage the unit(s) out of their predicament. also noted that in point (1) above , that if the trucks cant get to a space - they just fracking stop, as if there is something in their way, and the que just starts to disappear and nothing gets built. the old way did not do this. what all was changed?? and can you please revert to the old way.

3) the amounts of units and structures was reverted back to the original amounts... would it be possible to get a happy medium with the new and old way - ie: perhaps a few more units (150 to 200) and a few more of the structures.... ie: 15 research and 15 power generators. and 100 vtol rearm pads. this would be for the nightly master current build....

4) if i need to i can video what i am speaking about.

I can confirm on the pushy trucks - can be a pain if other droids are trying to get through. Ditto weak pathfinding - esp if path is only one square wide. A real nuisance when repairing defenses: the bloody trucks will head off out under enemy fire to get to the other side of damaged structures. (Won't someone please program the little buggers not to get into the line of enemy fire! Everything else does enemy detection, why can they do it?)

IIRC the unit/structure limits were increased based on the logic that if you were to find yourself in an unexpected 2v3 or even 1v3 you'd be able to use the same amount of oil/res/fac/etc... unfortunately in a 6 player game once everyone has reached near 2.3 standard unit limits the game performance takes a dive.

As I've suggested before, it'd be nice if this could be determined automatically by the game itself (i.e.1 player leaves, his 5 facs/labs get divided among the remaining players, either literally, or they are allowed to build xPlayers/5 for each structure)

Perhaps yet another alternative is to leave 2.3 limits as the default, but all the limits to be increased in the limits screen?

I also noticed this among a few other things. 1) units are squeazing their way through two connected wall structures. (Opposite trucks moving around structures) 2) When using the mouse on the edge of the screen to move there is hesitation 1-2 seconds before the camera begins to move. 3) my minipod units (ground) were launching rockets 1-2 squares away from the targets yet still doing damage to them.

also, noted that defensive structures will start to align their weapon and just when you think they should be firing said weapon, they stop and go back to a neutral postion, and NLOS type weapon takes over and starts firing - the BAD thing about this scenario is NLOS type weapons, ie: ground shakers, rocket launchers, mortars, are all too fracking slow and scattered at times to be of effective use. also results in the destruction of MY own units and or structures!!!!!!!! :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :stressed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: ( can you see the annoyed stressing that i am going through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:

this happens on the latest versions - 2.3xxxxxxxx and also the master nightly latest. who did the tweaking of this??? seriously!!! i need name rank and serial number. XD XD XD XD XD
