Division of work within a team

Post by sipendr »

I was wondering if different players can divide their duties ( like unit production, combat, recycling and repairing, construction and repair of structures etc) within a same team. Then people can concentrate on just a single thing instead of bothering about many things at time.

Argument can be given that different players can pre-plan,coordinate and divide their work being in the same team. But it seems hard to manage all aspects of play. Please give your views .

sipendr,Interesting.
Sounds like a co-op mode.
Different roles for each player. For example:
1) raids and attacks
2) protection of bases and aircraft
3) Resources and Research
4) Repair and artillery
5) etc

By the way, you can't do it on high-oil NTW-style maps, because everybody is just bound to do everything simultaneously here, otherwise power and time is wasted.

All right, here's an example. If, in a team of two, one player starts with a factory, and another starts with a lab, you can make a rush almost 30 seconds earlier than a single player can.

Yes :) This is the way the game was intended to be played. A team that works together is stronger than one that does not. Sharing power and passing units to one player on your team for combat are the most important. Deciding who is going to research a certain research tree is very helpful too. The original game was designed and intended to be played with only 3 research each. To play the game this way it helps to know your partners well, so play with friends if you want to play this way.
