Non-Project Buildings
I'm sure you all have seen the different structure models and defenses that Nexus, the Collective, and the New Paradigm uses in the campaign. I was just wondering if there is a mod that let's us use those in multiplayer or if it would even be possible to include the option of choosing your structure type (or something similar) in future releases. I personally like the black walls, different hardpoints and HQ, etc, that Nexus uses.

Maybe something like the neutral hospital in Red Alert 2 that you can capture with an engineer?

Interesting idea. But there are some roadblocks in the way:
- The defenses of the Collective and NEXUS are stronger than Project defenses (probably not a big deal, just tune down the stats). Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't NEXUS structures have a higher sensor range?
- When the Collective/NEXUS defenses were placed in-game, only the BARE ESSENTIALS were included. They are not complete sets, i.e. NEXUS doesn't have TK hardpoints and the Collective doesn't have MG hardpoints. This could be fixed with a "structure designer," a frequently proposed idea, but it's a ways from being implemented ATM.

i was under the impression that a hardpoint was an art asset(like a body.. inc hp/resists), and the turret on top had the stats of a regular weapon of that class?

Yes, but a hardpoint is also a structure. Sensor radius, armor, etc are defined by the structure, not by the turret.

ah, it was said that nexus or collective hardpoints lacked turrets, i thought he meant that it was difficult to weld a lancer onto a nexus hardpoint :p

how about an add-on for citizen population that can speed up general production or speed up research projects using proximity near those structures?
