I stand by this claim.

This could also be the result of economic contraints on development & release deadlines - as in..

"Ideally, we should do it in such and such a way but we don't have the time or budget. We have to get this out the door by such & such a time and the only way to do that is to cut these particular corners & leave it up to their imagination as to what is what."

Works for me ! ;) Typical, stratgegy in movie production working with limited funds & production time.

True, many movie franchise fanboys have endless arguments over the base storyline.

And certainly in this case the old saw about "any publicity is good publicity" applies as in the more the fans argue and socialize around the work the greater the longevity and residuals for cast, crew, art asset contributors and investors.

In the context of FOSS the "residuals" will perhaps manifest in creative Add-ons to the original.

Vehicles and cyborgs are manned, and i've got a simple proof for it.

:lecture: If they were controlled remotely, their human pilots wouldn't die when a vehicle or cyborg is destroyed, and thus their experience would be reusable. But when an experienced unit is destroyed, you do actually loose its experience, which means the man dies as well.

Counter argument to that is that the AI unit is destroyed when the core is destroyed in combat.....

Well, so at least some intelligent entity is located inside the vehicle.
And i don't think warzone features any clever AIs. At least, even Dr.Reed is still half-human.
