warzone needs new maps, weapons, units, structures and much more.

50 mb for game today is to small.

For campaigns you are making yourself, the mission timer is optional. But it will not be removed from mainline. And for your campaign to be introduced into the mainline campaigns, it would have to be agreed upon by the development team. It's a slim chance, unless you're an expert, but by all means go for it.DTSX wrote:Also, I'd like the throw away the concept of mission timer, and wasting time getting energy and stuff- just pure throw you in the action and research.

Easily that much time.Crymson wrote:I bet it would take at least 20-30 weeks per campaign, assuming you knew what you are doing.
Creating new maps, textures, storyline, scripting, different sound effects, new fmvs, debugging, and so on.

Agreed. But it's not impossible to have new campaigns.Emdek wrote:Changing campaign will involve adding new and redoing current videos, which could be even bigger task than inventing and scripting new levels...

I think that's about it. There's nothing more excruciatingly frustrating for a Modder than having to Re-Do work because major advances within the core game have rendered their work incompatible. Absolutely NO fun re-doing Mod work. There are still major pieces of work on the project road map to yet be completed that would have this sort of fundamental impact on an effort of this scope which would take well over a year.j0shdrunk0nwar wrote:
IMHO, only when the need for further major enhancements cease to exist, will we see new extensions/campaigns to the storyline..
