Naval Units?
I was just playing with hovers over the water, and this idea came out... Some naval-only units? We already have ground and air in warzone... As there is some tank factory and a vtol factory, could there be some naval factory?
I know this idea is really weird, but I think that ships could be a good idea for maps with lots of water...
EDIT: (I thought about it... Hmm, there should be bridges too, so tanks can change from island to island, and ships can pass under them.)

Both came up repeatedly and both are generally accepted. Actually, Zarel or Per, don't know who just now, wrote once that both were intended by Pumpkin to be in the game but they never got them working. There seems to be some code for that already.

We've both mentioned several things that Pumpkin planned and never implemented, and bridges are indeed one of them, but naval units were not.Corporal Punishment wrote:Both came up repeatedly and both are generally accepted. Naval units are indeed planned for the future, though.

the maps are too small for battleships or carriers, maybe PT boats?

Re: Naval Units?
something like that would mean having to make bigger maps, that would support it, maybe even adding lots of islands, fused with bridges and good distances betwine islands, but then again, anything can happen

Re: Naval Units?
Likely it simply means a Naval Propulsion...
I like the idea of bridges, as it would add a whole new dimension of strategy. Suddenly, you have to watch out for trucks building bridges to your land!
Naval Propulsion would also open a whole list of new possibilities, such as naval-based unit transport, or Naval unit-based maps.

Re: Naval Units?
A Navy would certainly fill a big void in the game. And this will lead to a number of water based maps being designed.
Naval warfare would complete the game.

Naval base would have to be built on coast as a prime location

Meh, maps are too small to have a lot of water to make this worthwhile, i just dont see the point of naval units in this game.
