Well, I think Scorpion can still work for a multi-turret... here's my thinking.
Scorpions have been around for over 300 million years and there are currently over 2000 species.
One of the Classification sub-families of Scorpions is Megacorminae.
Thus I postulate - MegaScorp

Ok, but then, what's "Dragon" got to do with multi-turret? Nevermind that.
I think I'll still use Boa, because it's the closest thing I've found to be closer to a python and maybe more deadly (probably not, but anyway). I've searched for serpent-gods, and well, Quetzlcoatl wouldn't do the job. There is also that norse world-serpent, the one biting its own tail [tries to reach the enciclopaedia for the name > fail] and the other one that eats the roots of yggdrasil [repeat willpower test > fail], but I remember that both had complicated names (for english-speaking folks at least) that wouldn't match the current naming pattern.
If someone can come up with a good, tougher name than "Boa", belonging to any serpent-like creature, I'll be glad to rename it
Right now that's the best name I could think of

That's it! And the other one, is called "Nithhogr" - the dragon that eats the roots of yggdrasil.Rman Virgil wrote:OuroborosOlrox wrote:..... Anyway, as I said those 2 names aren't good enough, somewhat too long and hard to remember.
What about:
Typhon
It's short, easy to remember and fits multi-turret logic very well (typhon was a creature with a hundred serpent heads. We won't have a hundred turrets, of course, but it's still "multi"

Hydra is already used for every multi-turret unit name composition. We would have some "Tank Killer Hydra Hydra Hover" if we use thatMaNGusT wrote:what about - Hydra?

Re: A multi-turret body by Olrox
That can change, easily. I never liked using "Hydra" as a multiturret denoter, especially since it sounds like a body along the "Wyvern" and "Dragon" line.Olrox wrote:Hydra is already used for every multi-turret unit name composition. Re: A multi-turret body by Olrox
No, no I mean the problem is, the current multi-turret system already places a "hydra" suffix in the middle of the unit's name. If we have it like Ie propposed, we can use "Hydra" for this body's name, because it won't mean "multi-turret quality" anymore.macuser wrote:You mean the problem would be "tank killer inferno boa tracks"Olrox wrote:Hmm, but change to what?

Or does anybody have an objection to my proposal of "(Multi) <Weapon name> <Body name> <Propulsion name>"?
