RTS games has some options about tactical formations of troops. But Warzone's not. It's a matter of paradigm. But then we need more intelligent troops that would find the optimal formation. For example, I selected a group of tanks and ordered them to move somewhere. They can use the line formation. There's no problem. But when I ordered them to attack, those who left behind do not attack anywhere: just wait! They should change the formation and surround the target. THEY MUSTN'T WATCH THE BATTLE!
They have only a pathfinding algorithm. But thay do not KNOW how to act as a group. When I selected a group and pressed "ctrl + #" they become a group. I think it would be easy when the highest level tank of the group becomes the leader and have a star rank near its level symbol. When i choose and ordered it, the whole group can obey. It'd help the user to control bigger groups. So when i ordered the leader to attack somewhere, the whole group would use the attack formation and then attack.

Re: Formation problem
Indeed, it is wonderful that commanders work now. I didn't mind, back when I didn't know about them, but now that I do, I would never want to go back.
