Really you don't but in actuality if you're doing it for a job then it helps convince the employers that you are both worth what they're paying you and have that reassurance that you know what you're doing.pseudonymous wrote:Since when do you need a degree to program?
Off the job, it doesn't matter if you have a degree or not.

which sounds a bit like any sort of engineering work really (i'm an electrical engineering student).
