French Translation

Is there a way to see my work in my version of the game ? I tried to recompile it with the updated file fr.po, but it's still using the old version.

Windows: Described here or on one of the other translation topics.
Linux: "make -C po install" (root priviledges required).

I'm working on the translation, I took qwerty's file found in r43xx (I don't remember exactly) and added missing translations (and also rewrote part of qwerty's work, mainly for correcting typos and spelling mistakes).
I'm attaching the file so people can have a like at it and/or include it into the subversion data. Any feedback would be welcome, since there are some translations I'm not very happy with.

Ok, I can now play with my translations. I am making a few changes (correcting mistakes) ; unless there is an easy way to do it via svn, I'm not planning to submit my changes soon, unless someone asks me to. I'm not playing the campaigns, so I will not notice any mistake or bad translation there. If someone could do the campaigns and give me some feedback about it, I would gladly look at it.

Thank you for your help ; what I need though is more like someone using the last svn version,commenting the existing (and missing) translations. Thanks to qwerty, most of the campaign messages are already translated, so I will only look at it if someone tells me there is something wrong.

The "lurs" had been corrected, but since I don't remeber doing it qwerty may have corrected it before.
Svn stands for subversion and can be used for keeping updated with the last changes, without waiting for a new release. If you want to try it, I can give you some advice if you are using linux, otherwise you'll have to find information elsewhere. I mentionned it because since my work is new, it won't appear in the already existing releases, only in the svn repository.
About the "Réception d'un message" thing, the original was "Incoming transmission", which isn't very informative either.
If you find other things like the "lurs" one, I'll look at it.

"Incomming transmission" is what is displayed when a mission briefing occurs. The homebase "transmits" the new orders/informations.

I just don't found anything else who make sense.
For exemple, we can replace it by "Transmission en approche" but...

Use «reception d'un message» or «reception d'une transmission»

If the message is used only for transmissions from the homebase, we could translate by "Message en provenance du QG". That wouldn't fit if it was used for transmissions from other teams or ennemies, though.
And to marcmad, if I remember well somewhere in the campaigns (english version) it says "Incoming transmission" then nothing, so it's not a translation issue. I don't know if it was intended or if a message is missing, maybe someone already reported it in a more fitting thread.
