couple of days ago i killed my g3 card, and ended up using the SiS 661fx again, which actually played the campaign 1 missions quite well (though no fog & with --noshadow), even tried it at 1600x res, though after 10 mins it dropped to windows lacking video memory to create new surface or something.
this morning, i bought & installed a gig stick of ram & an ATI radeon 9250.
well, now im getting a burst of about 4 frames every 8 to 10 seconds when i try to play wz.
upgrade = downgrade?

Re: upgrade = downgrade?
ah cheers.(just my luck to pick up a mule)
working much smoother now.
though does this exe need different instructions for "--fullscreen"?
as it comes up behind the taskber as if windowed(can be clicked away), and doesnt fit to the bottom or right edge of the screen.

Re: upgrade = downgrade?
Looks odd...
You could check ~/My Documents/Warzone 2100/config and see if "fullscreen=1". Also check whether "width" and "height" are correct.

1280x1024 on the card, 1280x1024 in the shortcut. same problem at 1024x768(wider gap on right though)
"/My Documents/Warzone 2100/config" has no "screen" let alone "fullscreen=1"
should i add it?
does it matter what order it is in?

Re: upgrade = downgrade?
That fullscreen is missing in it is somehow weird... Warzone should create it if it is missing... If you add it, it may very well be that it gets removed the next time you start Warzone...

Re: upgrade = downgrade?
actually, it seems to have stuck.
the window is about 1.2mm from the right side, and the taskbar is still in front at launch.
the taskbar being in front makes me think, this fixed.exe isnt communicating that its fullscreen the same as the normal .exe.
unless its something in my rig that isnt listening right...
