I was thinking about the gameplay in Warzone 2100 and I was wondering what people think of having extra short-range support turrets.
Something along the lines of a Gap-Generator turret which disrupts radar vision within its range, A 'shield' turret which which absorbs x amount of damage before failing (long reload time) and a 'stealth' turret which renders units temporarily invisible, or decreases the range at which you spot them?
I have no experience with it, so I have no idea what effect effect this would have on how mplayer games are played,or even how easy/hard it would be to implement them

Re: New turrets
A radar blocking turret is a good idea.
There can even be a communication blocking turrets ("anti radio") witch can make some units to stop responding to orders (but still react if being shot at)

Re: New turrets
ECM jammers are already implemented on the code side; they are not yet in available in game, but they can be made available via mods.

Re: New turrets
it's CB, counter-battery radar Mero :^)
Causes artillery to fire back at the enemy's artillery.
The green turret is called Wide Spectrum Sensor, and it's a very good upgrade to the standard sensor turret, and supposedly includes CB capabilities, but I have never seen these actually WORK in a long time.

I see bendib, thank you for the information, I had general idea abut the green one, now I know clearly.
You are implying that greens are not well setted now?
