Made with FlaME 1.2.7. Your base is very near the actual landing site of the first rover sent to Mars. It landed July 4, 1997, in the northern martian hemisphere at a place called "Ares Vallis", site of an ancient catastrophic flood. You will find a wrecked Suzuki Jeep at the actual lander site. The rover (named Sojourner by the winner of a national contest of young people) lasted 3 months. Final contact with Pathfinder (the lander) was at 10:23 UTC on September 27, 1997. I like being able to see what the surface of Mars looks like in 3-D and, of course, love this game.
There is plenty of oil and 8 players. Oil is placed along geological features and inside craters. I play as a single person skirmish game. The game starts giving me a Command Center and two droid trucks located near the center of the map. As a result, I stay busy and don't always survive..
