Erasing single tiles leaving holes in the ground
Is this possible?
I found a feature called trapstraight. It is essentially a channel/ditch with tank traps in it. It would make for some cool fortifications, but I can't really find a way to use it properly. It would essentially need to be placed partly underground, with the terrain tile removed.

When built it will be visible to you, your enemies will only see terrain and when they drive over it then it will collapse and they will see it and then they can destroy it.

Is this how it works or how you want it to work?

I'm pretty sure you can achieve the same ends through sheer terrain trenching without this feature. But however those same ends are achieved the question is - how fun is it? When employed extensively it tends to evolve into attrition conflicts. At least that's what I discovered a few years ago when I experimented with this tac on my ManGodAi 4x map. Course there could be different outcomes depending on quantity and variant placements. My experiments where by no means exhaustive in competitive MP play testing.

A nice wish for the new map format: add a field in features.ini to slide them below or above the terrain.

Come to think of it, what would the HP be?

I think this particular feature is currently set to undestructible.

Another feature request for a new map format: double/triple the max height. We don't need all that vertical resolution anyway.
