Hi mappers!
I'm bulding a map with some kind of unusual concept, and I would like to hear what you think about it.
The main goal is to play a nomadic mountain people attack on a fortified coastal city. To do so, and to prevent the "nomadic" player to simply fix into his base, I spread his oil ressources on all the mountain part of the map, with never more than one at each place. At the begining, his truck are also spreaded on the map, so he can get all his ressources quickly (and start his base wherever he wants). Of course it's then much more difficult to defend, so I have to balance with more ressources. Actually, here is the repartition :
- 5/18 : city
- 7/18 : mountain
- 3/18 : battelfield in front of the city, probably taken by defender at begining.
- 2/18 : two different islands, may be rushed by both players
- 1/18 : strategic hill in center of the map, guarded by scavengers
The nomadic player also get six trucks insted of three, as it's more difficult to build a base with trucks spreaded.
So now I'm testing the gameplay of the map, and as I'm not a so experianced player, I come here to see if I'm missing something. Do you think the repartition above is viable ? (you can check the map joined if you want more precise placement). Do you see a strategy that would be a too easy instant win for one side ?
And of course, I would be pleased if anybody want to test the map and make any comments. By the way, the map is actually only designed for player vs player, as I'm not enough experianced in map making to build the AI part ^^
Thank's!

Re: Nomadic Siege
p0l1z1 I like your approach. And the story.
I just couldnt stop myself ^^ I will not play it, but I have opened it with FlaMe.
I like the general layout of the map. I think you can push it even more = make more complicated. If you have made the map with FlaMe only, then congratulations, if with help of outside programs, then less, but it is me
I assume it is very early stage of the map? I dare to suggest, more terrain painting, red, sand, green, concrete, and finaly.. yellow.. (which I dont like it seems very much - no reason bracket) are awaitening for you. Also such a big map desire features, but use them wisely. Are there going to be advanced bases? and do not forget partly-obligatory gateways. Those are only my suggestions, and my suggestions only, remember your idea, and your map vision completion, is the most important here. Be suggested, but make the map as you see it in your mapmaking heart
And will it be for skirmish or multiplayer? And why Nomadic? and why siege?
Good luck!
sounds convinicingI will play it.
