New to Warzone 2100

Hi, I like to play online with my friends, and they all have air forces, but I don't know how to get air forces.


How do I get air forces or planes etc.

research till you get the vtol factory and the rearming pads - i wont go through all the steps to get there... but you do need to research engines / armour -kinetic and flame / and upgrades ... also you have to research propulsions ...

There's the research you need for VTOL propulsion. You'll also need the VTOL factory and re-arming pads, but they're obvious enough

Alternatively, http://casual-tempest.net/projects/wz21 ... pn-AAGun03 for the AA turrets, which will tend to win against VTOLs with equal power outlay (once upgraded).

So let your friends build their airforces, while you build up a nice tank force and roll over their base

and do not forget anti aircraft emplacements... build lots.

Tip for anti-aircraft:

Cyclone AA turret is the best for light VTOL and medium VTOL's (small, and medium jets)
Hurricane, and Whirlwind AA is totally useless, never build them.

When your opponent is using heavy VTOL bodies like Tiger, Python, Mantis, Dragon, or Wyvern, the only option is to build SAM sites (surface-to-air-missles) As they're the only things that can deal enough damage to take them down. Otherwise, you'll have rows upon rows of Cyclone AA's trying to damage a heavy VTOL, while it simply waltzes slowly into your base.
