Framerate is Horrible

I've tried BETA4 and it looks pretty good, but there is one, VERY horrible thing about that... The FRAMERATE!
Why is the framerate so horrible in BETA4? In the older version, I had all eye-candy options set on maximum, and I haven't got any problems with that!
I just need to, for example: Make a save of the game, and then load it back and hello there low framerate.
Is that because of the horrible coding? Is that because of the AI or new textures? How do I fix it?
Will it be fixed in the stable version of the game? I hope so. D:

Unfortunately the coding doesn't need to be horrible in order for bugs like this to happen. Also, it's called beta for a reason.
In a professional game studio, they usually hire professional testers to make sure all the game features will work well before releasing the game to the public. In an open source project, however, the tester is you.

Just got my new Lenovo (used) Thinkpad. its 1680x1050 with GMA X4500HD.
Using Debian unstable.
I did not measure the framerate right now but I feld yesterday it was quite ok not to say very good.
