Uninstall in Ubuntu

Post by Whhoesj »

Hello,

I've compiled and installed Warzone 2.3.9 without prefix.
How do I upgrade Warzone now?
I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 32bit

Do "make uninstall" from the 2.3.9 source.
We want information... information... information.

Or if you can't do that (you have removed build directory) then you can try to install it again and invoke above command then.
There is also more dangerous method, you can use package manager to get list of files of version available in Ubuntu repository (I'm almost sure that they will have the current stable one) and remove them manually (but very carefully, to do not damage system).

pitty ubuntu dont keep up with warzone releases so you cant actualy install and un install with the synaptic manager as new ones arrive.

I find it best to just download the latest and compile it and run the game from the src folder and I dont do make install
