Mod approval for new user's post?

Ok this is a new topic post. I replied several posts earlier today but it hasn't appeared and my post count is still 0. I wonder if this new topic also need mod approval.

Depending upon what forums you go to, your 1st few posts may need approval to verify that you're not a spammer. After reaching a certain limit, your posts would no longer require authentication (which could mean that the staff trust that you're not some spammer).
