A great thank you to the supporters of WZ

Post by coffee412 »

Hello, I have been playing this darn game for some time now since it went OS and find the darn thing very addictive. Mostly I play the skirmishes. But I did have a few questions:

1. Is it just me or does the computer generated players have more range when using the howitzer type cannons? I will get shot from almost across the whole darn battle field (or seems like it) and when I build them I can shoot probably at most 1/5th the distance.

2. Im running version 2.3.7 on Fedora linux. I see that the .8 version is out but not in any of the fedora repos. When trying to compile Im getting an error that it cannot find theora. Now has anyone been able to compile the latest for fedora 14??

I swear this game is so addictive that my wife says she might leave me! But I know she wont, she is just upset I spend MY LIFE ON THIS DARN THING! Better that than be bugging her all the time eh? :lol2:

Keep up the great work all!!

Oh, What would be cool is "Warzone Waters" where you have WWII weapons but with the ship types of WWII. Now would that not be cool??

ok, Have to run! :D

1. You need to use sensors ;) A sensor vehicle can be ordered to target specific enemies while a tower targets any enemies in range. To assign artillery vehicles to a sensor, select the vehicles then click on the sensor. Stationary artillery will automatically assign themselves to any sensor targeting something in their range.

as well as ensuring to upgrade to the ground shaker and better. once you have all the upgrades - you also will be hitting targets way across the map.

your best bet is to study the guide pages in regards to the upgrades for all weapons systems... it does help.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I appreciate the advice.

Now I just wish that Fedora would get with it and update their repos with the latest warzone :)

Happy warring everyone!
