Help with 32bit World Editor
It's not working!
as soon as I start it up, select what kind of map i'm making (rockies, city, arizona), it gives me two error messages
*Error reading IMD* or something like that.
this has also happened on another machine i own. i have no idea what's going on.

"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.
Re: Help with 32bit World Editor
So I downloaded the right version now.
I'm setting the directory preferences.
but, that first one is cut off, what is it?

Okay, I found it, and set the directory preferences.
It's up, and running, and now i'm just exploring around it.
One question though, how do you raise tiles?

Great!! i will now direct your attention to here: look for the following text on that page - under : icons - individual icon descriptions - there is a graphic to the right.Serman wrote: Okay, I found it, and set the directory preferences.

Apply To Tiles: - This changes the properties of the Icons, Drag Vertex option.
Apply To Vertices: - This changes the properties of the Icons, Drag Vertex option.
Get Height (Alt + G): - This changes the mouse pointer to pipette mode. Clicking on a vertex in the 3d map display will then select the height of that vertex
for painting with that particular height.
Paint Height (CTRL + H): - This allows you to paint at the currently selected height (see Icons, Get Height). Clicking on a vertex in the 3d map display will
change the height of that vertex to the currently selected height. You can also hold down the left mouse button and run the mouse
over several vertices to change all of them in one action.
Paint At Sea Level (ALT + H): - This allows you to paint at sea level. Clicking on a vertex in the 3d map display will change the height of that vertex to sea level.
You can also hold down the left mouse button and run the mouse over several vertices to change all of them in one action.
Drag Vertex (CTRL + D): - This changes the mouse pointer to a pair of pliers. Using this mode you can drag vertices up and down in the 3d map display,
thus changing their height values.
Mark Area (CTRL + A): - This allows you to drag a box over an area in the 3d map display or the 2d map display using the mouse. The area you have
selected can then be copied to the clipboard or flipped (see Icons, X Flip Marked Area, Y Flip Marked Area, Copy Marked Area To Clipboard).
X Flip Marked Area: - This flips the contents of the currently marked area horizontally. (see Icons, Marked Area)
Y Flip Marked Area: - This flips the contents of the currently marked area vertically. (see Icons, Marked Area)
Copy Marked Area To Clipboard (CTRL + C): - This copies the contents of the currently marked area to the clipboard. (see Icons, Marked Area)
"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.
Re: Help with 32bit World Editor
Once again, i have a major problem.
I'm making maps, but once i save them, i can't reload them.
my hard work goes to waste, when it says the same thing.
Error reading IMD, Error Processing Data Set After i press Open Project ???

Re: Help with 32bit World Editor
your work hasnt gone to waste. you will look in the warzone2100 root folder - in there you will see your map - and the backup of that map. when saving your maps - you will HAVE to SAVE them in the samples folder. if you dont specify samples then you will always get that error... and do not change the folders under the SD... THOSE HAVE TO BE SET THAT WAY. also - when making a new map - you HAVE to specify instead of the ... default dialogbox = DATA folder - navigate to the samples folder... and choose the WarzoneData(xx).edsSerman wrote: Once again, i have a major problem.

that you wanting to use.... i know its a bit of a paininabutt.... but untill the editor is redone without loosing the hard work to a hard drive crash - this is the way we need to accomplish our goal .

i get the same error useing the beta 4 or the stable version.

Re: Help with 32bit World Editor
Dunno really. It might be vista, it might be corrupted .dlls, or something else.
Also, which version of the 32bit WE are you using? There is a specific one that was hacked for 2.1.

Re: Help with 32bit World Editor
i used the one that i can download via the link in the sticky above, i was guessing that was the right one to use.
The filename is Beta World Editor 32 bit -128 by128 -png Beta
And it says the version is 1.0.0.1
knowing my luck its going to be vista
