can someone point me to the release schedule?

Re: release schedule
There is no such schedule.
There is a git repository in perpetual developpement. And when someone have the time and feel it's appropriate, he-they-we-them-that release a "snapshot" of the repositary. AFAIK, there is no official release that is planned ahead. There is no offical dead lines at all.

Re: release schedule
Changes to the git repo: https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2 ... its/master and https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2100/commits/2.3 (with news feeds).
master is still not in a releasable state, so for now there are only periodic snapshots. A new 2.3 release will probably come soon. The amount of changes between both snapshot and 2.3 releases is probably roughly the same, enough changes to make a new release worthwhile, few enough that writing the changelog doesn't take ages. With much less work done on 2.3, it takes much longer between its releases.

what are the problems with master that make it not releasable?cybersphinx wrote:Changes to the git repo: https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2 ... its/master and https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2100/commits/2.3 (with news feeds).

I only see the scrolling bug?
https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2 ... its/master shows what is added but not what everyone is working on.

No dates get fixed in advance.
Your message was far from clear as well.

To put it short:
Leadership and a general direction are very rare luxuries among open source projects, which is not surprising considering the free nature of open source.

Re: release schedule
helper - short explanation - you help where ever it is needed... just do something that contributes to the whole community - like modeling, coding, testing out and reporting bugs, work on mac coding... all sorts of stuff to have done to further this game... and, if you think the documents need updating - have at it... its not as easy as it sounds... trust me , been there did that... 6 or there abouts years of it...

Currently, we are very low on manpower, and very high on things-that-need-to-be-done.
When a developer wants to do something, then, they will do it, when and if they have time.
We have nothing set in stone, we all do this on our (little) free time, and if anyone ever ran a company like this, they would be bankrupt in short order.
We do know what needs to be done (as in, make warzone a better game), but knowing about it, and doing it are very different things.
If anyone wants to help, then do so, there are lots of simple bug fixes in trac, it just takes someone to actually do them.
If you don't want to help, then find better things to do besides telling others what needs to be done.
Have a great day!
