I decided to try and play the game with the stable release, so far I'm on Alpha6, New Paradigm first encounter
so far so good, but, the attack orders aren't sticking, I try using hold fire command for 8 heavily MG units, as I don't want to hit the NP sensor truck, but it seems they end up killing it regardless, it seems that selecting other units, repair truck or normal trucks, and reselect the MG units, there is no hold fire selected, in fact nothing is, and they keep on hitting the sensor unit and all hell breaks lose, which I don't want
extremely annoying, anyone else got this?
I have included logs and my save game bit after the first scav base, but I just can't stop my units from killing the NP sensor unit
also Im seeing some errors at the top of the screen sometimes but they sometimes go too quckly to note down,
anyway my save and logs here
hope someone can help to work out what is wrong
thanks in advance

Re: problems with attacking orders in 2.3.7
That's because they shoot the unit behind it, but the sensor's on the way, right? Bullets are in real 3D, that's one of the most curious parts of this game, so they don't shoot through things. At least, not in this case.I try using hold fire command for 8 heavily MG units, as I don't want to hit the NP sensor truck, but it seems they end up killing it regardless

Re: problems with attacking orders in 2.3.7
I realised after doing more testing, its because some units keep having their attack orders reseting, for example, I have one veteran unit, for some reason, even though I use the hold fire command when selecting all the units, then select them again, the orders don't stick, if I select them individually, then I notice that some units keep resetting back to attack all, the vet unit and a couple of others seem to do this. so its not a case of bullets going through the sensor tank, its the attack all command and my units going after the tank. I had to keep selecting hold fire several times then it may stick, but there is something very wrong somewhere

There has been some deep bugginess with orders getting reset for some time. One thing that annoys me is sensor turrets not obeying Hold Position, but instead chasing off after the bad guys and dieing in the process.but there is something very wrong somewhere

That at least should be fixed in master with https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone2 ... 7be2442ffe. Since it might lead to problems, it won't be in 2.3.8 though, if that gets released soon.stiv wrote:There has been some deep bugginess with orders getting reset for some time.
