I think it would be both useful and interesting if research pages on the site showed the cumulative cost for each research. This way people would have a better idea how much time and money it takes to research up to certain tech.
(Slightly offtopic, but a "price"-column in the turrets and cyborgs sections of the guide would also be nice.)

The research times could be really...iffy. It’s a really good idea, I’ll give you that. But the research times can vary since researching facilities themselves can be improved. Practically, that part wouldn't have much use, except as an estimate. But I do like the cumulative power and total costs up to a certain point on the research tree.

This must be considered in the calculation algorithm as well (and research facility/module build times too, and the number of initial trucks, and, ideally (but too hard), the amount of oil.)But the research times can vary since researching facilities themselves can be improved.

Well, I fully understand that research upgrades, the amount of oil, the amount of allies, etc. have a big influence on the time it takes. So the cumulative cost is only an indication of the time it takes. I was thinking more that if would serve purposes of comparing how much sooner one could for instance unlock sourge vs unlocking gauss. Or seeing when thermite flamer is unlocked compared to thermal armor (which could be useful for discussions such as these and these). Comparing things like this should be very possible with these numbers, even though they don't give you the exact time.
