The kitty is back!

Post by Saberuneko »

Hello there. I'm back to translation work! I've been kinda inactive lately... sorry, but I was really busy with exams and stuff.
I already learnt the basics of C... I'm not sure if that will be enough to help. (And I'm not going to be taught further... so if this isn't enough, I'll have to continue learning on my own :<)

How's everything going? Have anything to share/tell to the kitty?

Campaign 4 development is hot and heavy. :D We'll definitely need some translators down the road.

Yeah yeah... I'm already working on the Spanish translations. Count me in on that.

Awesome, thanks. :D I'll make sure you're in the loop. I'm thinking that we'll have need of your services once we're in beta stage, after everything is finalized. No reason for you to have to do extra work.

The way translations work now, it is not possible to translate external (not in the repo) mods.

And what about direct-source translation? (Let's say, a mod of the mod to make it spanish)
I suppose that's possible, right? (Anyway, that option would be too much hard work for me to do alone. :<)

I'm not sure what exactly the anti-cheat data check checks, if it includes name strings, it'll only work for people playing one language.

I think we're talking about translating a campaign mod? (:

Oh right. Heh. Of course then the data check won't be a problem.

Yeah, if just the campaign is translated. That data won't be used for the MP Games. So, no anti-cheat problems.
If you can send me something similar to the way .po works now. I'll give you a hand without any problem.
If I have to do direct-source-editing-translation, I will need some help. (Since I already been taught C in class, but only the basics)

Ok, will definitely send something your way when it's ready. None of the dialogue is finalized yet.
