Need help on sk-startup

Need help on sk-startup

I cannot win sk-startup when the game is 75% hard. When I play a 50% hard (normal) game, my strategy is to produce a lot of tanks and rush the enemy's base wave by wave. This strategy does not work in 75% hard mode, I find enemy produce units faster than me and have more advanced weapon than me. How can I survive? Thanks.

I now win the 100% hard game with cyborgs only (totally 77 machinegunners + flamers). The computer AI is very very weak on defending this strategy. Now I wonder what would the strategy be if one's not using that big amount of cyborgs.

P.S. yeah, the early AI is pretty weak against cyborgs. The reason seems to be in the original balance, where lancers were obviously overpowered; nowadays the lancers are countered by cyborgs well enough, but AI doesn't seem to notice it. When it develops heavier cannons, it gets harder. Just a little hint here: try playing against humans! They don't usually have such obvious weaknesses :wink:

Sk-startup is actually a really bad level. It's too small and the balance of the game just dont fit in that...

So on a competivtive level there is only a couple of strategy playable : Mg viper, MG tower land grab, mini-pod viper. The AI have some other weak points... like borgs.
