File and image hosting for the forums

Post by NoQ »

What services you guys use for hosting files and images that are too big or too many to attach to the message? I've been using imageshack.us for images and filedropper.com for files, but they both have started to fail way too often recently. Any better places to upload things? (:

I didn´t have this problem so far but if I would have it I would probably use flickr.com:

With a free account you can upload files up to 300MB per month and a video.

For files, I either use mediafire or host them on my domain. For images, I have an upload plugin for paint.net where I upload images to tinypic that I'm not going to save and aren't needed forever. Another website you could try is imgkk.com which was created by one of my friends.

Dropbox can be used for a large number of things, including hosting files.

Note: This is my referral link. It gives you 128 MB more space than going directly to dropbox.com.

+1 for DropBox.

It allows you to link files & pictures directly and can create image galleries just by placing picture files in the correct section of your DropBox. All this without subjecting your recipient to ads, or delayed downloads.
This is why some features aren't implemented: http://forums.wz2100.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7490&view=unread#p87241
