What "free" game do you play? (except Warzone 2100...)

Recently i've been stuck to Warzone2100, but i still remember a few titles.
1. Openttd - a retro economical simulator ("Transport Tycoon") rewritten from scratch by the community. Now it's absolutely stable and has a huge multiplayer community. I still remember playing the original game via a COM port
2. These guys have written quite a few very nice games, like "Blob Wars" series (FPS) and Project:Starfighter. All their games include an excellent storyline and, unfortunately, lack multiplayer.
