This guy on youtube recently started a playthrough on Warzone 2100 and has now finished it. His username is DarkyErinyes. His framerate is decent, you can hear the game noises, he's included his own commentary, and there is no annoying background music that I found in some other playthrough attempts.

That Guy doesn't know how to use commanders or mobile sensors.....
How else are you going to get hero rank units, he seems to recognize the advantage of experience, by commenting when destroying walls about free experience, and experience is good....
But he doesn't use sensors units for his mortars, or commanders for his tanks, which double total experience, and more importantly, concentrating experience in one unit.
And his voice is annoying

It's pretty cool, but he did everything so slow with artillery, like he was afraid of taking any damage at all... I woulda just spammed lancers everywhere - you have enough power that it doesn't really matter if some of them die.

yea.... I did a playthrough again a while back, and found the lancer upgrades (ROF and damage) and the scourge upgrades (just rof) actually worked.... and soon found no reason to use anything else.
Given how much upgrades matter, its a sign how OP lancer was in 1.00, when I was still using it alongside cannons, despite it not having any upgrades.
Even when cannons eclipsed it in DPS (about the time you get heavy cannon), its range and salvo damage still made it desirable.
Now Lancer DPS is way higher than cannons, and the cannon splash is not worth the trade.
So yea... lancer spammage in campaign (though I don't see the harm in using mortars too, in conjunction with a commander commanding lancers, to get a hero commander, or multiple hero units (I like to have hero VTOLs, whereas for ground units, 1 special commander is as good as 20 hero ground units)
