You're probably getting that error because the lobby is down. Just wait a while, it should be back up soon.

u are soo wrong i played on my friends computer today and the lobby is up not down how do u open tcp port 9990 thats the answer i need first and that might be the last!!!

The lobby server was down for a while yesterday. Of course it isn't still down today; we tend to get it back up fairly quickly.

I can almost guarantee that outbound port 9990 is open. You can check by going into:

http://www.firebind.com/9990

If it says the test failed, all you can do is call your ISP and ask them to open it.

That's weird. Refresh the page. If it still says that, I guess you should call your ISP and ask them if port 9990 outgoing is blocked, and, if so, if they can unblock it.
