First time multi play

Hi, I'm
I played war zone for years years ago. Back in the day when we played connected with serial cables. I am now trying to get in this again using the internet connection. I am having trouble finding instructions regarding windows 7 users and nothing seems to work when i try to start a game. I can't see my friends games and they can't see mine.

Would appreciate some basic instruction.
