Switch to desktop from fullscreen?

Hi.  I've been playing in fullscreen mode under Linux, where I run KDE.  Does anyone know if it's possible to pause and switch back to the desktop temporarily?  Sometimes it's nice to refer to the docs or, um, walkthrough in the middle of a game.  Thanks and sorry if this is a FAQ....

Well, the physical key is there, but I don't know that I tried pressing it....  I'll give it a try later, thanks for the idea.

FYI CTRL+Esc emulates the windows button for those of us who like to know usless crap

hardcore foss folks tend to refer to it as the "logo key"... and a button is a button is a button, so it's up to whatever window manager (if any) that you're using if that key is to be useful, but i wouldn't be surprised if kde or gnome open their respective application menus at the press of that button. for most of us though, it's probably most useful to bind as a meta key, since, by default, one isn't bound, iirc.
