Re: tracks or hovers???
hp = hit points.
tracks = heavy / slow
hover = lighter / faster.
bodies = from light to super heavy. different combinations will give different hit points.
and the there are the cyborgs = a total different beast of a different color.
see the tech tree - http://guide.wz2100.net/bp/
advantages will become apparent as you progress through the game.

Re: tracks or hovers???
Tracks and hovers are more or less at the opposit ends of the propulsion spectrum, tracks are heavy armor but slow and hover is light armor but fast. There are other factors like propulsion damage modifyers, for those look in the guide.
In general, if you see glowing, pulsating things in the game, you should click on them.

Re: tracks or hovers???
You can check the design screen; most of such things are written here. You should also check out this page, section "Weapon Damage Table". For example, hovers take much more damage from artillery. Concerning higher HP the tracks give, artillery becomes almost useless against tracked vehicles, unless used in really big numbers. Note that these tables apply to skirmish/multiplayer games only; campaign has a different balance, because skirmish was rebalanced to be more balanced, and campaign is to be kept very close to original.

Re: tracks or hovers???
Tracked tanks are great against artillery, they only take 60% base damage
Tracked tanks are also great vs AP - mg's and lasers they take reduced damage (not sure off the top of my head what the % is)
Tracked tanks only take 85-90% burn damage
Tracked tanks HP is increased by about 30%
Tracked tanks are SLOW
imagine tracks as an armor increase - because they are in a sense.
Hover tanks take 110% Artillery damage
Hover tanks take extra AP Damage
Hover tanks take 130% or more burn damage!
Hover tanks in general take more damage of everything imagine hover propulsion as an armor reduction
Hover tanks are fast, with medium power costs
Wheels are obsolete to hovers in every way but costs
fun fact: if your opponent is missile or rocket heavy, use cyborgs. They only take 65% cannon damage and 30% rocket damage!
Side note: percentages may not be exact, this was off the top of my head.

Correction: Tracked tanks take 40% of artillery base damageVerin wrote:Tracked tanks are great against artillery, they only take 60% base damage
For better comparison, see the weapon damage table on the Warzone 2100 Guide
