Bug: Repairing commander using repair unit doesn't work

When trying to repair a commander by selecting any number of repair units first, and then ordering them to repair the commander by ALT+clicking on him, nothing happens.
The repair tool icon does however appear when hovering over the commander holding ALT.

Platform: Linux x86_64 / AMD64
WZ Version: 2.3.1
Reproductibility: Always

Notes:
The bug has nothing to do with platform, it occurs on every configuration/platform/campaign/game.

Oh sorry, i completely misunderstood/misread how to report bugs...
I probably read 50% of the bug reporting post's text at random.
