Drop Beacon has only got one mention in the guide, which is on the Keyboard Shortcuts page. Would it be more helpful to have an explanation in the guide about when exactly would a player need to use this feature?
EDIT: Changed link.

Looks like the staff is swamped with more important things to do. I can understand that. Anyway, would anyone please care to tell me what exactly drop beacon does and when and how to use it effectively?

Errmm... if you've allied with an AI, you can drop a beacon and type "help!!!"; the AI will then send units over to the beacon location. That's for the standard AI, I'm sure DyDo has different commands.j0shdrunk0nwar wrote:Looks like the staff is swamped with more important things to do. I can understand that. I suppose beacons would also be useful in multiplayer; you could drop one instead of telling your allies "north of the river west of the plateau but south of the mountain range."

On the Warzone IRC channel you can find me hanging out with the BDC dudes or messing with the bot.
