Interactive Tech Tree

Just a thought I had while looking over the graphical tech tree.

Wouldn't it be cool to have something similar, but interactive so that, when you click on a specific tech, it highlights the prerequisites? My thought is something along the lines of, for example, you click Mortar - it is highlighted; Factory Module and HEAT Cannon Shells are highlighted in red frame, as are their prerequisites.

Perhaps we could go the other way, too, having all the tech it is a prereq for highlighted in green. In the above example, HE Mortar Shells and Mortar Pit would be highlighted in green frame.

I'm not even slightly familiar with things like Flash, for the graphical part of it, but if someone on these forums is and would like to collaborate, I could probably build up a database (or just pseudocode) for the underlying logic.

I like the idea, since the current tree is hard to read.

The in-game tech tree that was proposed some time ago would make things a little easier than that.
But this one is still a good idea too.
