strange graphic/freezing issue

i have noticed on some maps that when the AI gets a certain number of oil derricks set up the game starts to freeze and black out repeatetly the game doesnt shut down as it goes back to normal but it continues as long as the AI has the derricks.
it stops when i destroy those derricks but doesnt happen when i build my own as replacements

What version of the game is this?
I have never had that happen before. What video card do you have?

Hello, I think it may be your computer. I have had similar issues with graphics freezing. I looked it up on Dell's website "Inspiron 1764 freezing" and learned that it was the model of my computer that made the freezing happen. It is sad I think :/. Every 30 minutes of gameplay or so I get a huge freeze for 15 seconds+. Other than that, great game, I love it! I remember playing on the PS1 and finding my own cheats! I remember activating cheat mode and accidentally found out how to build the enemies base!

It was simple and verrrrry fun
