How to upgrade to latest svn revision?

Post by JDW »

hi all,

thanks for taking the time and trouble to read this post..

I have installed the latest svn version from trunk, what i would like to know is how do I upgrade to the next latest revision when it comes out? Would I have to rebuild everything, or is there an easier way? I couldn't find anything in the Linux compile guide about that..

And what is the version number of svn/trunk, 2.3.1 or 3.0? or does it only have revision number?

Regards
josh

You can do just "svn up" to get the latest revision, then "make" again.

2.3.1 is from branches/2.3, trunk doesn't have a version number (and when it gets one, it'll be branched off).

I've added a section about that in the wiki page, note the "make clean" step.
