Two Questions
I have two questions. How do you effing ally? Oh, and whats the difference between a team game/campaign/skirmish when it comes to hosting a game?

ok here is your answer.
pages 26 to 32 - from the online manual...
team game is where up to 8 players decide upon who is allied with who. ie 0/1 , 2/3, 4/5, 6/7 or any combination of that...
campaign is just that a story line with objectives and goals to attain... the computer AI plays the bad guy/ enemy combatants / etc...
skirmish - usually just a single person against up to 6 Artificial Intelligence players. on any one of the available maps.

"to prepare for disaster is to invite it, to not prepare for disaster is a fools choice" -me (kim-lav_coyote25-metcalfe) - it used to be attributed to unknown - but adding the last bit , it now makes sense.
Re: Two Questions
The 'Enter' button on the numeric keypad brings up the multiplayer options. From there, you can ally, give resources, units, visibility reports.
