Alright- quick question.
I have a friend that is playing on Version 2.2.4 . If he were to update to version 2.3.0, will his saved games from 2.2.4 (singleplayer) show up in 2.3 ?
Please reply.

Re: Question about versions
No, they won't, since the savefiles are kept in different folders.
Since 2.2.4 and 2.3's saves aren't compatible (I think), you won't be able to use them in 2.3 either.
Sorry. [Mod. note: This is incorrect]

Re: Question about versions
Campaign games _may_ be compatible across the versions. They certainly were between 2.2.4 and some of the 2.3 beta versions. I copied mine between the folders on my computer when I started playing the 2.3 betas. I no longer have any savegames left from 2.2.4 to check. Skirmish games are certainly not compatible (see the 2.3 changelogs).

Re: Question about versions
You can copy the old saves into the new config folder, and see if they still work. But you can also install 2.3 into a different folder than 2.2, and have both versions installed.
