Missing maps in skirmish mode

Occasionally when I start up warzone and try to start a single player skirmish game. I notice that some of the maps don't show in the selection list. They are in the map folder though. The only way to get them back is to delete the entire collection and reload them into the map folder. The missing ones are in 4p and 8p. Is this a bug or is there a set limit to the amount of maps that can be in the map folder? This happens in both my desktop(Vista 32) and my netbook(acer aspire one, XP Home). Appreciate the help.

Yes, there is a limit... just how many maps you have?
It will spit out some info in stderr.txt about this.

When I deleted the contents of the map folder it said 320. Most of which I don't play anyway. Just for the information, What is the limit? What would cause them to show one day and then the next day some aren't? That's whats puzzling me about it. Thanks for the reply.
