"select next idle truck/mechanic" - like in age of empires
"order truck to demolish building" - when demolishing multiple buildings it is very tedious when I have to click the demolish icon every time. Also it might be helpful if we could select/highlight all the buildings we wish to be demolished

Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
Yeah, those would be interesting. I see no problem with key-click combos for those, why not Alt+click - demolish buidling, in the same way as Alt+click with offensive units orders them to attack your own buildings? Maybe even Ctrl+ALt+Click to avoid mistakescharonme wrote:"select next idle truck/mechanic" - like in age of empires

Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
Or just hold down Shift to queue repeated demolishing.
Only reason we don't currently do it that way is because I have no idea how to. :/

Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
Would be great with a way to click to select idle trucks. Too often they just sit around doing nothing.
Also, double-clicking a truck doesn't select all trucks in the screen, like with battle-units. Could this be implemented, or is there a reason for not doing so?

Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
how do I do that without having to click the demolish icon multiple times?Zarel wrote:Or just hold down Shift to queue repeated demolishing.
often I have to search thru the whole map to find idle trucks. AOE uses the dot key for cycling thru idle villagers.Pangaea wrote:Would be great with a way to click to select idle trucks.
Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
The implication was that that was not currently possible, and the plans are to make it possible as soon as I figure out how to.charonme wrote:how do I do that without having to click the demolish icon multiple times?
Edit: Or, as Olrox puts it: The second half of my post that you omitted happens to answer your question.

Half post = half information (in this case)charonme wrote:how do I do that without having to click the demolish icon multiple times?Zarel wrote:Or just hold down Shift to queue repeated demolishing.

Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
I've actually found that there is a way to do this, sort of. If you click on build, you get up a panel with all your trucks and what they are up to. Some just have a question mark, meaning they are idle (just as factories etc). You can click on several trucks (question marks) by Shift or Ctrl, and start building something. By clicking on the actual truck icon you can see where it is.charonme wrote: often I have to search thru the whole map to find idle trucks. AOE uses the dot key for cycling thru idle villagers.
Not quite as good as a shortcut to an idle truck, but at least you can find where they are and order them to do stuff.
Re: keyboard shortcuts suggestions
The panel will show trucks with question marks (as if idle) that are actually doing repairs.
There's also a "Next Truck" command that by default is not mapped to a key, or at least it wasn't on my installation, but that can be. It will go to both busy and idle trucks, but it can be done with keyboard only and without bringing up the build panels. I find it useful, but it's not exactly what you asked for.
