Ok so when I was replying to the scrolling with Fkey subject I thought of another one, not so sure about it but let me know what you think. The problem with having build hotkeys in this game is that as your researching, you stuff moves around in the menu, and that there is way too many things to assign them all to 1 key. So I was thinking, what if the whole build menu was open or showing at one time, you know all like 6-7 pages or whatever it is. The buildings that cannot be used yet would be highlighted in a deep red showing they are not available. This would allow us to hot key every building based on its position in the menu. For example Lets say they were numbered 1-0 (im not sure how many slots there are per page btw) and i wanted to make a light cannon hardpoint. witch is on page 5, mash f3 5 times, and hit 4. It will only be a matter of time before experience kicks in and all you favorite structures become reflex on thought instead of always searching for what I want. I can't count the number of times I been caught with my pants down in this, and I want to mount a quick defense or something and I'm sitting here looking through the menu saying out loud "**** where the **** is it!"

Okay, one problem with the 1-0 keys thing: it interferes with set hotkeys for groups, which are what you have to use before commanders become available, and after commanders become available, they become hotkeys for commanders.
