New possible Warzone 2100 homepage design

I got really bored, so I made this little photoshop of what a new homepage for Warzone 2100 could look like.

This doesn't need to replace the whole website - it just comes up before anything else. If you were to click the top middle area, you'd be redirected to what the Warzone 2100 frontpage looks like now.

Looks good, but I personaly hate pages like those.

could use some centering of the explanations under the titles of the boxes. looks good. and as a front to the whole site - yes - simple and not overly eye-candied.

I was originally gonna put some icons (like a downwards arrow for download, a tank for New Users and a home for the Homepage, for example). Otherwise, that's what I was aiming for.

Oh, really? Makes it easier for people to find their way around.

This isn't really advertising anything, is it? I just designed it to make it easier to start navigating the website.

A forthcoming website redesign should eliminate any need for such a page.
