Fontless in OS X 10.4.11

I'm trying to play Warzone 2100 2.2.4(no video version) on an original eMac running Tiger, but it "fails to select font family Lucida Grande as regular font". It's kind of funny to have invisible text but it's also kind of more challenge than I can handle. It can't seem to load any other fonts, either. Help?

Do you have the Lucida Grande font? Try reinstalling the font?

I have it, yeah. Reinstalling it would just mean dragging it out of the System/Library/Fonts folder and putting it back in again. That probably won't help, but what the hell, I'll check. Nope.

I thought maybe it could've been having trouble loading .dfonts, but it can't load plain ol' ttf's either...

Ah hah!

Found the problem. It turns out Warzone only searches for fonts in Library/Fonts, which is sort of bad because Lucida Grande is in System/Library/Fonts. The other ones I tried didn't work because they were system fonts just like Lucida. Copying it over to Library/Fonts did the trick.

Can I suggest making the next Mac version of Warzone search Library/Fonts plus System/Library/Fonts? And ~/Library/Fonts, too, actually.
