Well, um, that's a problem with your browser or computer, not with Warzone. Next time, watch where you download it to. Or just search your computer for "warzone2100"; I'm sure it'll turn up.

Ahhh. I stopped the download halfway through, right clicked, and found the existing one's folder. Once it finishes downloading, the current windows downloads box closes so I had no way of finding it before. Thanks anyways lol, well thanks for the super quick response.

You mean the user folder? Your downloads aren't going to be anywhere near the My Computer area... :|

You are making a big mistake lav_coyote25.
It isn't in My Computer, there are no files there, it is in My Documents.

...this is what My Computer looks like on Windows:
mycomputer.gif
"Downloads" doesn't appear anywhere.

Are you referring to the navigation pane? That's not actually part of My Computer, you know, it's a part of Windows Explorer. And it only appears in newer versions of Windows.

Older versions of Windows (XP and below) had no Downloads folder - downloads generally defaulted into My Documents (IE) or Desktop (most other browsers). Vista has a Downloads folder, but I believe it doesn't appear in the navigation pane by default; you have to go to your user folder to find it.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

my apologies. :3 i thought one could perhaps look through and see that in (my computer) is also a folder called (my documents), and in that folder is the downloads folder. this has been part of xp since sp3. dunno why everyone has a problem with finding things on their own machines... one should have at least the basic understanding of how files and folders etc are strewn willy nilly throughout windows...no matter if its 3.1 with dos2.0 /3.11dos2.1/ win95/ win95 update/win98/win98second edition/me/xp sp 1/2/3 /win 7 - any windows after this. :)

There isn't My Documents folder, there are (f.e.) Admin's Documents, User 1's Documents, User 2's Documents, Guest's Documents.

There are lots of other folders in the "My Computer" folder other than "My Documents" - how was he supposed to know which one? o_O

Also, what KukY said. There are a bunch of other people's documents folders, and they only appear in Windows XP when you have certain settings enabled. My Documents is a logical subfolder of Desktop, and is a filesystem subfolder of the user folder in C:/Users/[username]/.

Notice also that the "Downloads" folder only appears in My Documents in Windows XP with certain browsers. Most browsers in Windows XP will put downloads in Desktop. And most browsers in other OSes will put them in the dedicated Downloads folder in the user folder, not in My Documents.

Well, I certainly do, but if someone can't find their Downloads folder, they're probably going to have trouble figuring out how to get there from My Computer. :P Nothing wrong with that; some people just don't use computers as much as we do.

In the end, your advice was specific to Windows XP, and I believe only Google Chrome. It also would've required him to guess which folder in My Computer he was supposed to pick. I'm just sayin', you could've been more specific. ;)
